Programs

We provide a safe place for your infant.

Infant Program (ages 6 weeks to 15 months)

It's a huge step for parents to leave their baby in the care of others. The staff at our center work hard to ensure that this transition is smooth. Step into our classroom, and you'll witness firsthand how hard we work to ensure that your baby will feel loved and safe.
A shoe-free setting for little ones

Our Infant Classroom

Here at North Belair Preschool, we know how important it is for babies to explore and discover their world. We have a shoes-off policy in our infant classroom. This means your baby can spend the day crawling around without you having to worry about germs or cleanliness. A shoe-free classroom keeps babies safe from dirt and germs.
Safe cribs
Our staff ensures that the babies’ cribs are free of any items like toys or pillows. The mattresses on our cribs are firm and covered with a form-fitting sheet. Our cribs are designed to let us see what and how your baby is doing at all times.
Feeding schedules according to your baby's needs
We make it a priority to keep your baby well-fed, healthy, and happy. We also welcome mothers to stop by and breastfeed their babies during the day. We carefully label and separate breast milk from formula milk as well.
Your toddler can freely explore and play in our safe and fun classroom.

Toddler Program (ages 16 months to 3 years)

All of the items in our toddler classroom are designed to stimulate the curious mind of your little explorer. As toddlers wander around, they are constantly discovering and absorbing new information about the world around them.
Everything is kid-sized

Our Toddler Classroom

When you look inside our toddler classroom, you'll notice that everything is well within your child's reach. From toys to books, they can grab things easily with their little hands. They don't need to wait for an adult to bring them anything they want to look at or play with.
Pictures and Labels
Our toddler classroom is filled with photos and a variety of visual cues. All items are clearly labelled to help children navigate around the classroom safely and confidently.
We help children prepare for future academic learning.

Pre-Kindergarten (age 4 ½ years)

Pre-K children will find their classroom filled with artwork and writing. We also help kids at this age begin to make connections between words and letters. We display pictures that help children learn a variety of academic concepts and skills.
Our Pre-Kindergarten Classroom

Alphabet and Writing

At this level, we start to teach children how to write their names. When they show you their artwork, you'll start seeing their names proudly displayed here as well. We use the alphabet and pictures to further enhance children's knowledge as we discuss all sorts of topics including living things, places, emotions, and experiences.
Friends and emotions
We prepare children for kindergarten by focusing largely on enhancing their developing social-emotional skills. We start teaching children how to resolve conflicts through the use of words, and we help them learn to manage big emotions. They will start to learn about people's similarities and differences, as children share with the class about themselves and their families.
